How much is your hourly wage per year?
A standard full-time conversion uses hourly rate × 40 hours × 52 weeks. The calculator keeps the gross result visible and explains which taxes and deductions are outside the estimate.

What the annual salary figure does — and does not — tell you
The baseline assumes the same hourly rate for every paid hour. It does not include overtime premiums, shift differentials, commissions, or bonuses.
Unpaid leave, seasonal shutdowns, and gaps between assignments reduce annual pay even when the hourly rate stays the same.
Federal and state tax withholding, FICA, benefits, and retirement contributions are separate from the salary conversion.
Compare offers
Do not compare an hourly offer with a salary using the headline rate alone.
Write down guaranteed weekly hours, paid weeks, overtime eligibility, health insurance, retirement matching, paid time off, commuting costs, and schedule predictability. A higher hourly rate can still produce lower annual income when hours or paid weeks are smaller.
Use the same yardstick
Convert both offers to annual gross pay before comparing benefits. Then use realistic take-home assumptions to test whether the difference still matters after taxes and payroll deductions.
